The theatre group is for anyone who likes theatre, it may be musicals, plays, ballet, opera or anything else. By booking as a group through the u3a we can usually get very good discounted group rates.

Trips are arranged by various members of the group which means the effort of arranging trips is shared by many of us. This also ensures that we get a good range of different sorts of shows to see. We are hoping to get at least one show a month but members can just "pick and choose" which ones they want to see.

We only started this group in March 2026 but already have 65 members and 6 shows in the diary with another 1 planned but no date as yet.

Many of the shows we go and see will be in the West-end but we also hope to be organising some more local trips to other more local (and cheaper) venues.
