Joining Sutton u3a is your first step towards developing new interests, making new friends and, of course, enjoying yourself!
Sutton u3a is part of a unique and exciting international self-help movement providing recreational, educational and social activities for semi-retired and retired people – something we’ve been doing for nearly 40 years.

Our Groups
The ethos of the u3a is participation, not the conventional teacher/class relationship. Learning is for its own sake, with enjoyment being the prime motive, not qualifications or awards.
Sutton u3a has over 50 interest groups (covering a range of activities) who meet regularly at various locations around the Sutton London borough.
On our Groups Page you can find out more about specific groups, where they meet, how to join and even how to start your own!
You need to be a member of Sutton u3a to join a group. Once you are a member, however, you may visit any group just once to see if you like it before joining.

Meetings and socialising
Open General Meetings
Every other month we hold an Open General Meeting at Trinity Hall where members can socialise and catch up on news and future events. This is followed by a talk from an invited speaker. Guest speaker talks are open to visiting non-members and last approximately 1-1.5 hours. Find out more about our meetings and events on the Events page.

Social Club Trips
The Social Club Committee arrange a comprehensive programme of events throughout the year, including coach trips and theatre visits.
