Small Tasks As Required
We currently have about a dozen members in our STAR Group. This is exactly as it says - anyone volunteering would only be asked occasionally to help with ad hoc tasks. A few examples might be:
- helping with setting up before our General Meeting
- serving tea and coffee at meetings
- welcoming new members
- clearing up after General Meetings
- checking members cards at the AGM
- helping on our stalls across the borough during the year
You would not be expected to always do the same things. The idea is that if we have a list of members to call upon, then when we need help with something, we can email the STAR Group with details of the job that needs doing. If it is something you can help with, then just let us know. If the job is something that you are not interested in doing or perhaps the date is not convenient, then there is no obligation to volunteer!
Please do consider being part of the STAR Group as it will help us enormously. Also, it could be a really good way of getting to know other members. The more members we have in the group, the merrier!
