Our Sports Group meets on the first Wednesday evening of each month, 7.30pm at The Hope pub on West Street in Carshalton. We talk about all things, mainly sports related and plan future trips for the group. Not all group members come along to the Hope on a regular basis but just join for any visits that interest them.

The idea of this group is to attend all sorts of sporting events with like minded sports enthusiasts. Groups of any size from 2 to 20+ and usually in London and the South East, but sometimes further afield.

Many of our more popular visits have become annual events and we are always looking for new sports to watch and enjoy.

Events we have watched so far include cycling, athletics, cricket, ice hockey, tennis, rugby union, rugby league snooker, basketball, horse racing, greyhound racing, hockey, baseball and of football. We have had numerous trips to watch our local club, Sutton United and we have also been along recently to watch Crystal Palace ladies who usually play at Sutton.

We have also arranged visits to tour various sporting venues and over the past few years, we have organised trips to Lords, Wimbledon and the Oval.

Trips are organised by different members of the group and we are always looking for new sports to watch. We do sometimes get "more active", we have recently been 10-pin bowling and a few of us play snooker on a regular basis.
