A few members of the Sports Group have started to play snooker on a regular basis and have now formed a u3a Snooker group. We play most Tuesday evenings for 2 to 3 hours and at the moment we usually play at Cheam Social Club where we can generally find a spare table or two. The members who play each time just share the costs between them (£2.00 per table for 30 minutes). It’s a friendly game and nothing too serious; it's just playing for fun and not a particularly high standard.

If you are not a member of Cheam Social Club (or of another CIU affiliated club) you may also need to join as guests can only be signed in for a limited number of visits per annum (£2.00 per visit).

In the past the Sports Group have been to watch a professional snooker tournament. This is something we hope to do again and may do it as an event for this group but will also invite members of the Sports Group to join us.
